Exspect Universal MP3 Case with NXT Speakers
Started well but....
Review date: 2010-05-09 Rating: 6 out of 10
Bought this for my son and his Sansa clip mp3 player. It worked great but after a few days use lost its clarity on any volume over quiet. Perhaps he's abused it but it should work better than this. Contacting seller for advice.

A solid mp3 player accessoryReview date: 2006-10-26 Rating: 8 out of 10I wanted speakers which would work with any of the family mp3 players, so that ruled out all speakers dedicated to one make. I also didn't want anything too expensive as anticipated use wasn't going to be heavy.
Amazon came up trumps with choices but the deal-breaker for the Exspect was the reviews by existing users and the price of under a tenner.
The unit is robust and feels nice in the hand. There is adequate space to hold an i-river H10, but not a 40Gb Creative. Sound quality is on the tinny side, having only one speaker. But sound can be resolved by playing around with the settings on your player. Connection is by the headphone port. The battery life would appear to be excellent ... I'm still on the first set!
For the style, price and function the Exspect ticked all my boxes. It has since proved to be the ideal mp3 player accessory for short trips and holidays.High Quality and great soundReview date: 2006-02-04 Rating: 10 out of 10When i first recieved the case, i was suprised at how high the build quality was. The outer covering is made from a high quality wetsuit sort of material which looks like it could take alot of wear and tear. I wasnt expecting the sound to be that good, as the case isnt huge, however i was pleasently suprised, the sound wasnt tinny, it had a nice punch to the bass and there was no distortion. I was also worried that my IRiver mp3 player, which isnt the smallest around, wouldnt fit in, however it fits in nice and snugly,with some space to spair.
This is a quality product which i totally recommend to anyone looking for potection for their mp3 players, but who dont want the hassle of carrying round speakers . Well worth it!
Good but maybe a little too much baseReview date: 2005-08-07 Rating: 6 out of 10I was surprised at these speakers. I did buy them to go with my MP3 player but since had to return that cause it was rubbish.These speakers are good and offer your player protection (great for in the bath room) but I do find they are a little bit too heavy on the base.
All in all a good pair of travel speakers.
Pleasant SurpriseReview date: 2005-07-13 Rating: 8 out of 10This is an excellent solution,
The case is sturdy and splash proof and looks the part, it has two velcro fastners on the back for your belt, you can wear it upright or horizontalLooks
Space inside is a bit cramped, your ipod fits nicely but fitting in the headset will take a bit of pushing.The inside it has a neoprene cushion so it will fit nice an snug around any mp3 player.If you have an ipod you can even operate the touchweel through the netting cover so you dont have to take it out.
Sound
Good to very good. A hint here NTX does not do bass very well, full stop. Over all though the sound is good for a portable solution like this.My advice play around with the equalizer settings a bit to get the best results.
Is it loud, yes it is loud enough for a hotel room or Beach or pool use without disturbing the neighbours.
The box has only one speaker so it will be glorious mono, but having said that if you need stereo you can use your headset, On my travels I'm not looking for high-end stereo, i have that at home ;o}
