these great little speakers a great for mp3 players but not for ipod nano as the headphone socket is under the nano so it does not stand up on the docking port. other than that, there isn't anything wrong with it. sound quality is good, good for portable use. it runs on AAA batteies or uses the usb cable which comes with it. a great product. i would definately recommend this.

ipod speakersReview date: 2009-09-14 Rating: 10 out of 10I took them on a cruise and it was great to be able to have music in the cabin from my ipodvery good purchase, but...Review date: 2008-07-08 Rating: 8 out of 10i have to agree with mr cook's review. these were excellent speakers for a while, (think i've had them 18 months or so) but the connection has just gone dodgy and now you have to fiddle around with the the cable that connects to the ipod (or whatever it is you have it plugged into to get sound out of.) i especially liked the fact i wasn't reduced to plugging it into my ipod, it worked just as well with my laptop.

They're lightweight and, considering the speaker size, the sound is quite good - although it won't ever replace what you get with earphones. However, as observed by another reviewer, the iPod nano has its jack plug on the base, so it won't stand up in the cradle (except upside down!) and, because the nano's much smaller than the speaker set, it does look a bit daft.Impressive sound for the sizeReview date: 2006-07-22 Rating: 8 out of 10I've just bought these speakers and am impressed by the volume, sound quality and design. Obviously they are not the best quality speakers you will ever get, but they meet my expectations completely.
The only grumble is that they do not come with the DC power supply that is an alternative to the batteries. I had an appropriate DC power supply for another piece of equipment, but from the product description I was surprised by its absence.
