Music CentreReview date: 2010-06-09 Rating: 8 out of 10The product is functional and does what it says on the tin. However, the lid is rather fiddly. Pricewise about average.
ReviewsNice piece of kit.Review date: 2010-05-17 Rating: 8 out of 10Bought this for my mum so that she can continue to listen to her old vinyl since her last player broke.
It plays records, CDs and can play MP3 off of the SD card slot or CD. It plays just fine although the record mechanism could be more advanced and robust, and the speakers could sound much better.
My mum is happy with it's operation.
But for me the best feature of this player is the ability to record the vinyl that is playing to the SD card slot as an MP3. This is amazingly useful and will help anyone who is technically minded and driven enough to do so the ability to preserve the sound at least of their record collection indefinitely.
A super feature that alone could cost more than this whole unit costs.
Recommended, although the more complex features (such as SD card functions, play and record) may be slightly beyond the abilities of the less technically experienced or persistent.Perfect gift for my Mother.Review date: 2010-01-12 Rating: 8 out of 10My mother has a lot of old vinyl and this item is perfect for her. She listens tio them around the house. She has no need for big powerful speakers or anything like that. The fact that she can convert the vinyl so she can play on her MP3 player or put on a CD for the car is great. Perfect for someone who is not looking for anything too advanced or techie.terrible product - cheap cheap cheap!Review date: 2009-07-16 Rating: 2 out of 10I bought this from LIMEMARKETING hoping to transfer some old vinyl simply. When the item arrived, I was stunned by how cheap and plastic it was. It seemed incredibly fragile and looked like it could easily break or split. I tried to ignore this by thinking that you get what you pay for. When lifting the arm, the machine made a loud humming noise. The entire unit was a pile a cheap junk that I returned. I can't comment on its ability to transfer vinyl to mp3 as I never got that far. I don't know if the humming sound was due to it being faulty or cheap. Either way- I still wouldn't recommend it. And returning the item to LIMEMARKETING was a total farce- I would not recommend buying from them.Genius!Review date: 2009-07-09 Rating: 10 out of 10This was bought as a gift for my mum, who loves her old vinyls but as times have moved on she can not only play them, but she can now convert them on to her mp3 player. It's a genius idea and is not bulky in the slightest. It's quite small and ideal for minimum space - unlike the old ones that were huge. They also come in a few different colours, which again is great if you want it to match other electrical goods.
